The health, safety and wellbeing of our guests and staff is our top priority – and we have been working hard to establish health and safety standards that will be strictly in place as we reopen. We are complying with the EU and Government health protection directives and that means that some of our services and amenities may differ from previous seasons
The reception area will be outdoors, physical distancing rules will apply and all staff will be using protective equipment according to the provisions in place. The most important measures include:
Cleaning & Disinfection
Our teams are implementing additional precautionary guidelines and disinfection standards across the entire property — developed under the guidance and information provided by both global and local health authorities (including the WHO), and based on government requirements.
We have increased the frequency of property-wide cleaning and disinfection, with extra focus on high-touch surfaces and public spaces. These measures extend to all guest rooms as well as all employee-only and back-of-house spaces.
Hand Hygiene & Masks
Proper and frequent hand washing is vital. We keep hand sanitizers readily available throughout the hotel —front desk, public restrooms, back-of-house, guestrooms.
This year, our entire team will have their smiles hidden behind facemasks and other personal protection equipment. You will be greeted from a distance and, unfortunately, despite hands being meticulously clean, there will be no handshakes or hugs. The whole team is trained on enhanced operation protocols and will be taking precautions to provide a safe environment for our guests. Masks and gloves will be available upon request. Personal hand-sanitizers (60ml) will be available in each guestroom.
Guests will be advised to practice physical distancing by standing at least 1,5 meters away from other groups. All layouts in all areas and public spaces will be arranged to ensure appropriate distancing. Our employees will practice physical distancing by standing at least 1,5 meters away from guests and other employees whenever possible.
Services & Amenities
Check-in is at 15:00 and check-out at 11:00, to allow more time for room cleaning and disinfection.
Housekeeping will be available upon request only. Our staff will try to keep entering your room to the minimum. Therefore, on arrival, you can choose whether to allow cleaning service every second or third day or avoid it altogether. Do not worry though, we will be delivering clean linen and supply you with all the essentials upon request. Some of the non-essential room objects like decorative fabrics, pillows and extra blankets will be removed.
Our bar will operate serving only snacks and drinks, there will be no restaurant service. All room service orders, and guest requests will be delivered at the door. Contactless menus will also be available.
Contactless payment options will be available in all departments.
Breakfast will no longer be served at the indoor area of the Mansion House, but Al fresco
Our pool will be operating as usual, with physical distancing measures and disinfection protocols.
Suspected cases Covid-19
The hotel has an action plan in place, which adheres to the Ministry of Health and Ministry of Tourism guidelines, to manage any possible or confirmed cases among guests or staff, and collaborates with the local authorities and hospital for the testing, isolation and transportation of possible cases.
In case of symptoms: If you don’t feel well, you should call the reception and stay in your room. A doctor will be called to evaluate the case.
Upon departure, guests are explicitly requested to immediately notify our hotel if they develop symptoms associated with COVID-19 or obtain a positive test result for COVID-19, within 14 days following departure.
We keep a record of the details of visitors staying at our hotel (name, nationality, arrival date, departure date, telephone number, e-mail and correspondence address) for reasons regarding the protection of Public Health.
We promise to do our best to keep you safe and healthy and to make you feel at home, even under these very different circumstances. As long as we are all healthy, we can enjoy the sun, the sea, the island and nature.
